East Coast Shoppers:

Last week, at a point of complete exhaustion, I went to sleep around 11ish. When I awoke the next morning, I discovered that two of the current residents of the Keith household found a shopping cart along the side of the road. This is a common sighting in Sussex, but what happened this particular night makes me wish that I had taken a nap Sunday afternoon to see this.

According to legend and lore, Brent and Matt took the shopping cart down the hill a couple of times while the girls (Terra and Becca) watched and Timmy and Adam (Matt’s cousins) lit the path and watched the road below. On one of these runs, Brent flew solo and ended up with a large gash in his arm.

It was the next day, when light shown on that glorious cart, the ideas started to fly and the concept of the EZride was forged in blood and sweat. Imagine four guys gathered around a shopping cart with grinders, hammers, pry bars, and random shop tools to make the stock Zellers Select Z class shopping cart into a souped up, phat, lowered to the ground, costum-shop top of the line street racing shopping cart.

Because of a lack of a welder, we had to use plastic safety ties to hold the to the chassis. We are still in deliberation as to how we are going create a steering system and breaking system. However, we added a sweet grill onto the front that makes it look like the M12 Light Reconnoissance Vehicle... I like to call it the Warthog...

oh wait, wrong world
