C.G.N.....U:

Crazy Go Nuts University.... I feel like I’m the president of it. I don’t think that I have had a busier week in my life. For those of you who are uninformed, Monday was Canadian Thanksgiving. As a result we had both Friday and Monday off. On a spontaneous whim, I decided that I was going home to Pennsylvania over the weekend. Not only was I going, but I was taking Brent with me.... and ended up taking Steph too, because she was bored.

So the three of us piled into the “A-wing” and drove 8-900 miles to surprise the crap out of EVERYONE at home. I know it may be wrong, but I get a kick out of making people’s day. I think I did that for Mom. She was super stoked to see me. I’m talking running out the door screaming and crying “Praise God!” I guess we were an answer to her prayers... she does a puppet ministry and was supposed to do a street ministry, but was lacking people... the crazy thing is that Brent and I have done puppetry before, so we, the adept, stepped up to bat.

The visit was great and we got to go see Steph’s mom and brother and sister.... surprise them too. Steph’s little brother, Josh, stayed with Brent and I last year and absolutely adores Brent. It was funny to visit with them because her mom pulled out all the old pictures of Steph with glass and long hair. All I has to say is “wow”. I didn’t wanna be mean by laughing because we all had that dorky stage.... some just had it a little longer than others.

Anywho, by Monday morning, we were back on the road and traveled the 900ish miles to return to school. However, on the way back, just northeast of Saint John, my rear exhaust pipe snapped off from the side of the converter.

(Disclaimer: I know nothing about cars, so really all I know is that it is the pipe that connects the converter to the muffler that keeps it from being really loud.)

I freaked, but praise God, it is only a $20 part, so I can get some of the resident gear heads to help me fix it. It looks simple enough to do myself, but I’d feel more comfortable with having someone there to direct my steps.

Well, we made it back to say the least and I returned to realize that I had a plethora of assignments to complete within the next couple of hours of my breathing, waking existence. In the past two days I have: read 2 long articles of systematic theology and write reading guides on them, formulate a topic and outline for my Systematic research paper, write up a critique on a sermon, do a hospital visit, write a paper on it and listen to the District Superintendent of the Atlantic District talk about 170 tips for ministry laced with several dick and fart jokes.

Oh yeah, I forgot, today is Friday and the Board of Trustees is meeting, so yours truly as the executive of the student body has to represent. I’m sporting my suit right now as I sit in the doctor’s office waiting room (he wanted to make sure I didn’t develop an ear infection).... and yeah, the Dean of Students told me that I looked sharp.
