I Came, I Saw, I Bought the T-Shirt, and I Built a Cannon to Shoot it Out of:

So it has been a while and I have neglected my blog, but here is a glimpse of what I have been up to lately: building this...

The "Bazooka of Escape."

"Bazooka of Escape?!" you ask and am I glad that you did! There is a story behind it and though it will cause me great pain to pass on this fine piece of engineered goodness, it is going to it's due owner.

My dear friend Ryan is getting married on Friday. We have been best friends for years and with those years comes many many inside jokes. This cannon is going to be his wedding present from me.... yes, you read correct: wedding gift. He said that he didn't expect a normal wedding gift out of me and he certainly got his wish.

Here is the story of the Bazooka of Escape:

Several years ago, we had two female friends who liked to play these annoying games. It was truly painful. They were our friends, but they purposefully did stuff that they knew would drive us insane! One day while enduring such an episode, Ryan mumbled, "I wish someone would shoot me in the face right now!"

Without a word, I pretended to set up a giant mortar in front of us. I was slow and methodical so that my charade would be recognizable. On the count of three, we both stomped our feet on the pretend trigger and blew the annoyance away from our minds.

Thus was the birth of the "Bazooka of Escape..." and a perfect wedding gift for someone so deserving. I wish Ryan and Amanda the best and give them the Bazooka not as a method of escape from one another, but as a funny reminder that nothing in life is too big that 40 pounds of compressed air and a rolled up t-shirt in a PVC contramption's barrel cannot handle.

So load it up, blast it away, and live happily ever after.
