Backstory:

Chuck presented a very valid question to me on my previous postings and it would be a shame for me not to tell what spurred on this post.

It was truly random events that influenced this post. Last week, myself and 3 old friends/bandmates piled into my van and went looking for something to do. Our intention was to start at the mall and go from there. There were really no interesting movies in the theatre so we moved on.

Driving down the road, we initially spotted a Quizno's Sub shop.... but it was on the other side of the concrete barrier with no logical way of accessing it from our lane. So we drove on and made our way to this tiny diner out in the middle of no where by close enough to another friend's house to know it was there.

The Cruiser Cafe was its name and it was an interesting joint. With items on the menu from bison burgers, to chocolate pepsi, to "The Mess" - fries, cheeses, and BBQ (essentially Sloppy Joe stuff)... but their ice cream was boss!

While at the diner, our waitress told us of a county fair going on 10 minutes down the road. I was a bit skeptical, but the other guys seemed to be interest, so I followed...I mean, I drove. With nothing better to do, we stubbled upon a hovel of mullety goodness.

Our initial sighting was a "padawan rat-tail" and I knew that the hunt must begin. I laid down the rules for the guys and we deliberated on the points system... at the end of the night, out conglormate total was 106 points using the Rothenburgerstein's Assessment of Zealous Rednecks or RAZR system.

While traveling home, we discussed the mullet and it's culture deciding that if there were a mating call of the mullet, it would be Boston's "More than a Feeling" and the children with mullets is truly a sign of neglect or abuse or something to that affect.

And as a result... you have a few posts... stay tuned because I have one on its way.

Hey- if you really want to hunt for mullets come visit me! The new Walmart just opened up, so half the population of my hometown is there on a regular basis. Since this is a country town there are only like a million mullets!
