Power in Symbols:

Being a fan of anime, I've seen in different series how symbols are equated with destructive or intimidating power. For example, in Trigun, the prient, Nicholas D. Wolfword, carries arounf a massive cross that transforms into an assualt rifle/grenade launcher. In Full Metal Alchemist, the ancient chemical theories, symbols, and transmutation cirlces of alchemy are given a mystic spin and is used as a magic power. I've seen other series where the Star of David is used as a symbol of ultimate power...

Though these simply represent one worldview, I laughed my head off when I saw this:
