Would You Like Fried With That?

I woke up at 3 am to a rock at the window. I slept through my 8 AM class only to wake up around 9 AM. I preached this morning at 11:20ish... it rocked. I enjoyed preaching because I fell called to preach to youth. I think that they liked it as well. I got some good laughs out of it all. Cranked wise and admonished through Scripture. Yeah... preaching rocks.

However - I am a bit lacking in the mental power department now. Preaching can be very draining physically, mentally and emotionally. I really planned to skip systematic theology today. I spent the time after lunch with Becca doing school work.

She really has been a good influence on me. I’m not saying that I am a bad person, but because of my slight ADDness, I would have had a difficult time focusing. She will make a good teacher. She’s gentle, but assertive. Guess I can need that some times.

I told you all that I’d share a bit oh my humor from my sermon in the blog. Here is a little piece of it! I hope you like it:

“If I speak in the tongues of Wesleyans and of Baptists, but have not love, I am an air guitar or a dull thud. If I have the gift of interpreting President Medders preaching and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge including how to ace a Branscombe inductive, and if I have a faith that the cafeteria food will not kill me, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all my Easy Mac to the less fortunate Bethany students and surrender my body to the Kennebecasis, but have not love, I gain nothing.”
