Preparation H:

Ok - I am really not talking about THAT! However the title does work to explain my weekend - preparing to preach in Homiletics (get it? Prepare = preparation, H = Homiletics).. ah ha.... ah ha. Ok so maybe it isn’t exactly the funniest joke ever, but all joking aside - I have enjoyed crafting this sermon.

I am preaching along the lines of one of my biggest pet peeves (the overuse and misuse of the word love) and I have added a twist of Damien style humor. I think it may be a good sermon. Becca and Mom both liked it... of course Mom just read the text and Becca heard me preach /practice it. I suppose that the combination of two of the important women in my life does carry a good amount of weight.

Once I do preach the sermon, I will post a little piece of the humor used. As for now, if you’re in Homiletics and thought you’d get a clever sermon snippet from my blog... think again... not today anyway....
