A day with the VONs:

So here I am today, sitting in a florescent orange chain waiting for the long await vaccines. This day is quiet the blessing to me, as I told you all in my last blog. More good news on that is that I won't have to get all of the shots! I am very blessed by that.

We spent the last hour listening to all the precautions and such that we need to know about going over to India. During this time, the nurse was telling us about the ingredients of some of the immunizations. There are animal products in some of them! I'm not talking just animal parts, but there is beef and eggs in some of them.

This brings to mind a question... what if you're a "hardcore - straight edge" vegan? Can you with a clear conscience, consider your convictions receive these shots? If my understand of a vegan is right, then the answer is no. However, something is telling me that if your brain is swelling and ready to explode from Japanese Encephalitis, you'll wished you would have taken that shot, even if you're getting a clean shot of steak and eggs. Might be good for you.

As for right now, I'm waiting for the shots. Mike is in right now, so Duane ("Marshall"), Dave, Joel, and I are sitting waiting....Ok scratch that... Mike just came out and Marsh went in. I'm anticipating it now. AH I hate needle! We'll see what happens anyways.

The Aftermath:

I feel funny.... tired.... sore.... my arms are heavy. When I was in the office, the nurse asked if I had any history of medical depression or psychosis....I asked if eccentric counted... she wasn't sure. Anywho...the arms are sore... and I just woke up.... I feel funny.
